This is a my video game song. I based it off of Dead Space and really enjoyed creating it. I used some unique pieces of music from sound effects. With panning and putting in things such as compressors, I was able to re-create a person hiding in someone’s house, sneaking around. This is a great piece of music but don’t get to scared :).

This is the song I created in music tech for the midterm. I had a really good time creating this and experimented more than I ever have with MIDI. FOr this song I created an ABA format with both my Bass and Drums. I also added a Master Fader to make sure the sound quality was at its peak. All this song was developed through MIDI and created by me. I tried to add the Bass so it stuck out from the Drum beat as much as possible. For the drum beat I created it in Electronic 100 03 and for the Bass I created it in the car chase beat.
While creating this song I decided that I wanted a more electronic sound. I wanted a song that you could dance too and enjoy many times. I think this song is really good and I deem it as one of my best. I added a compressor and EQ to all the tracks to make it sound more futuristic.
For the Bass, I wanted more of a bouncy beat. The Bass itself has the sound of a ball bouncing around in the headphones. I really like the beat and tried to incorporate it into the drum best as best I could. I think both of the instruments bled really well and create a good song when played together. I loved doing this project and cant wait to do another one.

This is a great mix-down of a protools song that has no mixing whatsoever. I put in compressors. Also I panned the volume on every single track so that certain parts of an instrument popped out beautifully. This is a great mix. Enjoy!
Tom Dowd was one of the greatest men to ever happen to music. He was a recording genius, a visionary,a and a mentor for some of the greatest musicians that have ever lived. He has one of the longest lists of a recording professional and still remains under the radar. Tom pushed musicians to sound their best, and in return created some of the most beautiful music known to man kind.
One of Tom’s greatest contributions to the music world was his overall producing of artists and getting them noticed. He recorded people like Ray Charles to Eric Clapton and made their songs into hugh hits. Tom helped sigh many other well-known bands such as Derek and the Dominos and The Allman Brothers Band. He was said to be so good at what he did, that he would bring out the best sounds from each artists music that hardly anyone had ever heard. Tom would put his life into each piece of music he recorded and was very involved in their lives. Tom would move around the mic’s for hours in the studio room just to get them perfect for that right sound. Tom was truly a visionary to people and spread his goodwill and charm to bands who needed it.
Another Great invention Tom brought to the music industry was the 8-track recorder. When he brought this over to his bands he was recording, people were amazed at what it did for them and their music. At one point when he was recording Ray Charles while using the 8-track recorder, Ray came into the room screaming and yelling because he thought what the machine did was impossible. Tom explained it to Ray and just watched as the amazement set in on his face. Tom revolutionized the recording business and brought amazing records to the public.
One last amazing piece of information Tom pioneered in the music industry was the use of stereo’s in music and recording. Tom brought the use of a stereo in recording to the limelight in many of his songs. By doing this musicians and recorders were able to discover new and improved sounds such as linear channel faders. Tom revolutionized recording in the 1900’s and his work still affect what goes on today regarding musical recording.
Tom was truly a man dedication and passion towards music. Even though he is one of the best things that has ever happened to music, he takes no credit, and just goes with the flow. Tom helped provide amazing artists and records to the people and discovered many new sounds and ways to record the artists. We will always remember Tom as the amazing invisionary he was and will listen to his once in a life time tracks he put so much heart into.

This is a video that I created a new soundtrack for. The old soundtrack was poor and illegal so I re-vamped it into a great soundtrack that is appropriate. The soundtrack has a different beat for every dancer and even a realistic applause from the crowd. This was a very fun project and I hope you enjoy! Much fun!
MIDI, also known as Musical Interment Digital Interface, is a wondrous piece of technology that literally hasn’t been changed for 30 years. Back when MIDI didn’t exist, live musicians such as keyboard players were forced to rotate around and use all different keyboards for different sound effects. but with MIDI, your able to get tons of different sounds from a keyboard such as guitar sound or car revving up (heard in The Art Of Noise). MIDI uses 3 “pin” system but when it was made it was made with 5. those extra 2 pins still haven’t been used because MIDI is just that good, even though it was made way back in 1982!
The system MIDI goes through every time a note is played is Note On, Note Off, Volume. This is transmitted too and from the keyboard. This allows for precise timing and accurate note playing for the musician. MIDI has allowed us to dive deep into the musical industry and create sounds that have never been heard before by people. It is virtually an amazing system

This is my 45 second announcement song that i created strictly using MIDI. I created this song by composing beats from my keyboard and changing around pre-made beats. Its a music masterpiece that really is fun to listen too. There is always a new and exiting instrument being added to perfectly compose the song. Had a lot of fun creating this!

This is my Alice Narration. My nice garage band decided to erase everything I had been working on so I made a new one. Had to hurry through this but for what it is its pretty good. Had music that raises and collapses at the right times with interesting narration voices for characters. Very entertaining.
Les Paul was one of the best. Between his discoveries in multi-tracking to his heart-warming songs such as “How High The Moon”, he revolutionized the music industry and to this day, deserves credit for his innovations. Without his discoveries in multi-tracking, music wouldn’t be where it is today. He discovered, through hard-work, that you can record tracks on top of each-other. In his hit song “How High The Moon”, Les demonstrates his genius by playing no less than 24 tracks between two people. In addition to his innovation of multi-tracking, Les constructed a solid-bodied guitar that sounded like no other. It was so good that they are still constructed today based off of his design. Les was the best thing to happen to music and deservers everyone’s prayers.
